Scala Media Players
It is important to change your password for the Linux Operating System to ensure that your device is secure. There are two ways to update a password:
Randomly Generating Passwords
Ensure that if you choose this option you write down the password for the player. If you forget this password, you will not be able to access your player.
Passwords are updated through the Users and Groups settings in the menu system of the Configure Player account.
Click the Change... button associated with the Password.
The Change User Password dialog appears.

|Confirmation||free form text box (masked)||Use to confirm the newly entered password.|

|Generate||button||Click to generate a new, random password.|
|Don't ask for password on login||checkbox|
Check to bypass password login for the account.
|Cancel||button||Click to cancel password changes.|
|OK||button||Click to accept password changes.|
The new password saves. Click the close (x) icon to exit the dialog.
