Scala Media Players
The Scala Media Player-Q contains both hardware Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) and software EDID configurations to ensure that your selected display monitors can be used to display content.
The EDID emulator is integrated into the Scala Media Player-Q and is sufficient for most display configurations.
The EDID emulator provides both the functions of EDID override and display continuity, independent of the Windows® opFerating system and the device driver stack, allowing for a "plug and play" approach to setting up and configuring your device. For more information about configuring hardware EDID emulation, see Integrated Hardware EDID Emulation for SMP-Q.
Use software EDID emulation when the:
- Display monitors are not compatible with the integrated hardware EDID emulator
- Display monitors are not physically present
For more information about software EDID emulation, see Software EDID Emulation for SMP-Q.
