On May 27, 2020, Microsoft released Windows 10 version 2004 (WIndows 10 May 2020). Updates in that version have caused the blue screen stopcode error screen to appear when installing and updating Scala Enterprise Designer and Player.
For Scala Enterprise Designer, if you are considering upgrading your from Windows 10 version 1909 to Windows 10 version 2004, the HASP drivers must be updated PRIOR to installing or updating Scala Enterprise Designer. If the driver has not been updated, installations and updates to Scala Enterprise Designer will not install.
For Scala Enterprise Player, we recommend staying on Windows10-IoT-Enterprise-2016-LTSB or Windows10-IoT-Enterprise-2019-LTSC and DO NOT recommend updating your players to Windows 10 version 2004. Windows 10 version 2004 has not been tested for compatibility with Scala Enterprise products and will cause your network to become unresponsive.
Thales (Gemalto) has released updated HASP drivers following the release Windows 10 version 2004, which may be found at: https://supportportal.thalesgroup.com/csm?sys_kb_id=979a4e21db92e78cfe0aff3dbf9619c6&id=kb_article_view&sysparm_rank=15&sysparm_tsqueryId=9911668edb611010c1cf51f4f396198f&sysparm_article=KB0018319.
Updating Windows 10
We do not recommend updating to Windows releases that are NOT LTSB/LTSC versions of Windows10. These versions have not been tested by us for compatibility or have had any long term stability testing.
While we do not recommend updating to Windows 10 version 2004, there may be instances where your IT department requires you to update. In this case, you will need to update your HASP drivers.

Windows 10 version 2004 has not been tested for compatibility with Scala Enterprise products and will cause your network to become unresponsive.

We do not recommend updating to Windows releases that are NOT LTSB/LTSC versions of Windows10. These versions tend not to be stable enough to support a 24/7 player.
