Scala Media Players
Looking for a different model?
Check the label number on the bottom of your Scala Media Player-S. If there is a label that reads B363, this is a prior edition of the Scala Media Player-S. Details for the B363 edition of the Scala Media Player-S can be found in the Hardware Archives.
The Scala Media Player-S can be purchased running a Windows® 10 IoT LTSB operating system or Linux x86 operating system. Notice Regarding Linux Support A Scala Media Player-S bundle will be available with a Scala Linux Player. The Scala Linux Player will not be available as a self-install product. Recommended license for the Player-S: Standard HD (SW-PST-HD01) The Scala Media Player-S (B409) pairs best with a single-channel Standard HD (PST) license, which allows standard HD/1080p resolution while providing several more advanced features than a Lite license. You can also use a Lite license with a Player-S, but it imposes some feature limitations As the Player-S does not support 4K playback, an Advanced UHD (PAV) license will provide you with additional features but it generally will not improve picture quality above that provided by a Lite or Standard HD license. For details about the different licenses, refer to the License Functionality Matrix.
Single 1080p output media player with full device management and support for multi-zone, HTML5 and ScalaScript content. With an anodized aluminum housing and fanless design it’s protected from dust and debris making it an ideal choice for any digital signage solution requiring performance in harsh environments.Operating Systems
